Tickets go on sale Friday (Jan. 4) for a Feb. 9 performance by Hubbard Street Dance Chicago at Seattle’s Paramount Theatre.
Now in its 34th year, Hubbard Street is one of the only professional dance companies to perform year-round; it has appeared in 44 states and 19 countries.
On this tour, the troupe is performing two pieces they are calling “The Israeli Program”: “Three to Max,” choreographed by Ohad Naharin, and “Too Beaucoup,” by Sharon Eyal and Gaï Behar. All three choreographers are with the noted Tel Aviv-based Batsheva Dance Company.
Tickets, $25-$45, are available at 877-784-4849 or Tickets.com; they can also be purchased in person at the Paramount Theatre box office, 911 Pine St., and at Sonic Boom Records, 2209 N.W. Market St., in Ballard.
