“Jimi Hendrix: Musician” by Keith Shadwick (Backbeat Books, $19.99). This new, compact edition of a book first published in 2003 follows Seattle-born Jimi Hendrix’s musical legacy chronologically. Rather than focusing on Hendrix as a larger-than-life figure, Shadwick puts the music center stage.
“Soul’s Gate” by James L. Rubart (Thomas Nelson, $15.99). Seattle-area author James Rubart’s supernatural fiction novel explores the question: what if you could travel inside another person’s soul? The story follows Reece Roth in his quest to fulfill God’s plan.
“Angels at the Table” by Debbie Macomber (Ballantine Books, $18). Known for her Christmas novels, Port Orchard’s Debbie Macomber has a new installation. This novel features angels Shirley, Goodness and Mercy in their quest to help two lonely souls on New Year’s Eve.
“Bad Glass” by Richard E. Gropp (Ballantine Books, $15). Set in Spokane, this chilling tale follows Dean Walker, an aspiring photographer, into a quarantined city in search of fame. Richard E. Gropp lives in the Seattle area.
