Blockbuster a cappella group Sweet Honey in the Rock is celebrating its 38th year of spreading songs of hope, love, justice, peace and resistance, steeped in African-American tradition. Current members Ysaye Maria Barnwell, Nitanju Bolade Casel, Aisha Kahlil, Carol Maillard, Louise Robinson and Shirley Childress Saxton (sign- language interpreter) are on the road, and will bring “Celebrate the Holydays” to Seattle. 7 and 9:30 p.m.Tuesday and 9:30 p.m. Wednesday (7 p.m. Wednesday show is sold out), Triple Door, 216 Union St., Seattle; $25-$45 (206-838-4333 or www.thetripledoor.net).
