As some of you may know, I picked the Netherlands to win Euro 2012. So I was as shocked as anyone to see the Dutch lose, 1-0, to Denmark in the first game in Group B. The prohibitive tournament favorite, Germany, got a goal from Mario Gomez just before he was going to be subbed out to earn a 1-0 win over Portugal.
Should still be an exciting group.
The action continues today in Group C with a big one between Spain and Italy, the last two World Cup winners, and then Croatia versus Ireland.
