Dutch, my bracket in trouble (Sunday links)

Joshua Mayers

As some of you may know, I picked the Netherlands to win Euro 2012. So I was as shocked as anyone to see the Dutch lose, 1-0, to Denmark in the first game in Group B. The prohibitive tournament favorite, Germany, got a goal from Mario Gomez just before he was going to be subbed out to earn a 1-0 win over Portugal.

Should still be an exciting group.

The action continues today in Group C with a big one between Spain and Italy, the last two World Cup winners, and then Croatia versus Ireland.

Let's get to some links:

* * *

--- There's also an MLS game today, as Vancouver hosts Houston at BC Place.

--- Good news for the U.S. men's national team. X-rays on Jose Torres' ankle came back negative.

--- In MLS, there's a report out there that Philadelphia coach Peter Nowak is looking at a job in Scotland, and here's a Q&A with Real Salt Lake defender Jamison Olave.

--- Some news updates from Euros: looks like UEFA will look into alleged racism from Russian fans and Greece lost a Papadopoulos to injury.

--- Lastly, Argentina beat Brazil, 4-3, in what sounds like a phenomenally fun friendly. Messi had a hat trick (of course he did) and here are the highlights:
