Groups for the 2012-13 CONCACAF Champions League were drawn Tuesday by the confederation and Sounders FC learned at least one of its two opponents.
Seattle was matched up with Marathon of Honduras, which was also grouped with the Sounders in 2010, and the top qualifier from Caribbean qualifying, which is to be determined.
Three of the four teams remaining in the Caribbean Club Champions Cup -- the Puerto Rico Islanders, Antigua Barracuda FC and W Connection and Caledonia AIA of Trinidad -- will qualify for the CCL. Here are details on that tournament, which concludes June 21.
CONCACAF changed the format this year, eliminating the preliminary round and instead having an initial round of eight, three-team groups. Only the group winners advance to the knockout round.
Four group-stage games will be played in six available rounds (two will apparently be byes) and those dates, times and locations will be announced later. Quarterfinal are set to begin March 5.

Round 3 -- Aug. 28-30
Round 4 -- Sept. 18-20
